PARIS FOR 2 MINUTES!

I've just booked my next Parisian shopping spree. Only moments after, I stumbled across this enchanting video set in la belle Pareee! It is one of four videos filmed as part of the new EF language campaign, each video set in a different cosmopolitan city. Watch it... it's so dreamy it will give you butterflies :) I'm off to check out Barcelona!

TICKETS FOR 2 TO PARIS!

The Boyfriend has surprised me with tickets for 2 to Paris. Now the only downside is having to wait for the weeks to tick by! Apart from sampling macaroons, drifting from café to café and gallery to vintage market, I will probably just pass the time posing about like this belle fille with the stunning Tour de Eifel as my backdrop.

PARISIAN CHIC

Paris just felt too far away this morning, so I've brought her to us! I complied a little treasury of some of my favourite Parisian inspired items on Etsy, click on this link and you'll be taken to their wonderful shops. Bon shopping tout le monde :)

PRETTY IN PASTELS

So how was your weekend? Do anything nice? Mine was lovely! I managed to visit lots of French markets in preparation for my vintage clothing shop (coming online very soon!) I scored a vintage Chanel jacket at one, not sure how easily I will part with that! I also bought a new bike with a basket to store all my treasures, so much of the weekend was spent cruising by the beach and forest with The Boyfriend. Today I am working on some illustrations for my favourite French magazine, Surfeuses, it's a jam-packed magazine for every surf chick... or aspiring surf chick! Just because I'm chained to my studio all-day doesn't mean I can't look nice... hence some outfit compiling below! Bon journee tout le monde!

Chocolait Chauds and Candy Coloured Macaroons in Biarritz

The Boyfriend and I spent the weekend before last in the beachy town of Biarritz. Think of a mini Paris perched on picturesque surfing beaches, add to that a Californian vibe and an impossible amount of quaint cafes and bustling bistros. We wandered through the Saturday food market, our basket piled sky high with cured hams, homemade chocolates and potted jams. Lunch entailed plates laden with tasty tapas nibbles and demi beers (a demi peche for the madmoiselle) in Le Comptoir du Foie Gras. Antique shop after antique shop lured us in time after time. I fell in love with the 18th Century butterfly hat pictured below, perhaps Philip Treacy has been to Biarritz also! Next stop was Bayonne for afternoon tea and macaroon treats...oops it seems there are two sugary delights missing from that picture I better go replace them before somebody notices...

From Paris With Love

I've got a Paris kinda feeling coming on! I want to go sit outside at a quaint street cafe as the svelte and stylish go about their day. I'll watch them whiz by on their bicycles with baskets piled high, flowers for the table, baguettes for the dejeuner. I'll sip chocolait chauds and nibble pastel coloured macaroons by the Louve before I indulge in hours of worshipping inside. Coco Chanel will exude elegance and lure me inside onto her plush carpet step by step. No vintage fold will be left unturned as I wander through winding cobbled streets picking out la Paris's antique treasure troves as I go. I'll smile when I'm addressed as "madmoiselle"....madam is when you know you're getting old ;) Real life Amelies will pass me by all day, toting their wicker baskets en route to the food market, daintily perched on the back of their boyfriend's moped, kissing aquaintances on the street, une, deux..bonjour cherie! Uh oh! Too much people watching, I'm late to meet the boyfriend. We'll picnic in the park and tear crunchy baguettes open with our hands, pigeons will coyly gather round and serenade us with theirs cooing as they pinch the tumbling crumbs.  Jambon, fromage, vin rouge, a ribboned box of petite strawberry tartlets, view of the Eifel Tower, together we have it all...
