FALL 2010 COLLECTION BY ALEXANDRA GRECCO

I'm loving the catalogue pictures from Alexandra Grecco's Fall 2010 collection. Alexandra is inspired by vintage lingerie, the soft focus colour tones of Polaroid photography and pin-up girl with their sensuous curves. On her collection Alexandra says; "I always want to wear my underwear outside, but realizing that desire is, unfortunately, not considered civilized and would cause ailments for the majority of the elderly, I took my inspiration from boudoir-wear and infused it with daytime practicality for my first collection!" You can visit her tempting website here.

CASEY O'CONNELL CRUSH!

Casey Casey Casey how I love thy paintings! I have the biggest artist crush on Casey O'Connell. I adore her magically romantic and fairytale style, her bold use of vintage inspired patterns and colour combinations, and the recurring theme of love sweet love throughout her work. I check back in on Casey's site from time to time and am always blissfully surprised at how industrious she has been in the meantime... always a fresh collection even more enchanting than the last. My favourite is still the girl in the red hat on her boyfriends back ... j'adore :)

BELLE AT THE BEACH

Last week I had the exciting opportunity to style the Surfeuse Magazine shoot for their November issue. That is where I met Melody, the beautiful Parisian belle seen below in the pictures. With some 'new' vintage dresses and some treasured trinkets from I Love Cutie Pie jewellery, Danielle and I styled and photographed her to within an inch of her life! I am ever so happy with the result :)
All dresses available in Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage. A big huge thank you to Le Surfing for allowing us to take over their wonderful bar.

VINTAGE PHOTOSHOOT!

What a weekend! It was all work-related but I loved every single minute of it! I visited all vintage markets known to man on this side of France and then I continued on to an eldery madam's quaint country villa, where I proceeded to spend my next few months rent (oops!) on purchasing her entire vintage fashion collection. She had boxes and boxes of treasures for me to sift through. Madam used to be a Parisian fashion designer and had excellent taste! There was every possible French designer label in those boxes so expect to see some vintage Chanel, Longchamp and Hermes arriving in Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage soon. The highlight of my weekend however was my new photoshoot! I was blessed with 2 amazing French models who threw out pose after pose in the hot French soleil! Here's a sneak peek of les madmoiselles Alice and Ludivine....
