VINTAGE PHOTOSHOOT!

What a weekend! It was all work-related but I loved every single minute of it! I visited all vintage markets known to man on this side of France and then I continued on to an eldery madam's quaint country villa, where I proceeded to spend my next few months rent (oops!) on purchasing her entire vintage fashion collection. She had boxes and boxes of treasures for me to sift through. Madam used to be a Parisian fashion designer and had excellent taste! There was every possible French designer label in those boxes so expect to see some vintage Chanel, Longchamp and Hermes arriving in Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage soon. The highlight of my weekend however was my new photoshoot! I was blessed with 2 amazing French models who threw out pose after pose in the hot French soleil! Here's a sneak peek of some new vintage items now in store in Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage. My beautiful sisters came to visit me for the weekend... and very kindly modeled some of my new Parisian finds! As you can see my Betty Draper 1950s infatuation is still going strong :)

The Roxy Heart Collection...Roll on Summer Days!

The sun finally managed to creep around the clouds today and memories of a long hot summer by the beach began to refamiliarise themselves. Summer is like a beach catwalk in the South of France, especially in a surf town, the girls mightn't all surf but they certainly know how to dress. Last year Roxy launched their new capsule collection, "Heart", and it sums up the surfer chick style for me! Be warned though, the fairytale photography will have you yearning for those lazy summer days :)

 

 

Down from the Mountains but Back on the Beach :)

I'm back! Gone are the days spent cruising on my board and back are days at the bureau! What a holiday, when I wasn't coasting through fresh, fluffy powder I was eating to my little heart's delight in cozy mountain lodges and chocolate cafes. There is nothing quite like sitting on the first chair up the mountain and watching the town below begin to light up the indigo dawning of the day. Especially as first chair means first tracks are mine! Now I am back in the South, back at the desk, back to reality! Memories of mistletoe kisses, hot chocolates warming up mittened hands, candle-lit apres-ski baths and long days racing around the hill get me through the days for now. Those memories and our amazing new apartment! The Boyfriend and I spent the last week hiking up stairs and unpacking box after box ( "Yes, I do wear all these shoes darling"). We have rented an unfurnished loft in the forest by the beach for a year and now a week later it is almost home sweet home. We did the Ikea marathon to Bordeaux for basics and then we trawled though numerous vintage markets to give the place our own personal touch. Pictures coming soon I promise, but I think you will be impressed ;) Please excuse my abscence the last few weeks now I am unpacked Dandelion Daydreamer is back on track, thank you all for all your comments during the last week xox
