Antique markets, cafe au laits and tarte tatins by the canal, ancient town-houses with crumbling facades and dusky rainbow coloured shutters, lacy lingerie and vintage jewels, designer boutiques and city chic... how I love France :)

Alice's Wonderland
I fell in love today. Head over heels, butterflies in tummy kinda love…. With a café! But not just any café, oh no, not this one. It was an Alice in Wonderland, garden party themed cake heaven. The kinda dreamland where all the good cakes get to go. Sticky candy pink cup cakes were stacked sky high on delicate antique glass cake stands. Jars of fluffy marshmallows decorated the windows, alongside an endless line of tarts and tea- cups, pastries and pies, muffins and meringues… will I continue? Inspired by this ambient café, I have collected some Alice in Wonderland themed images and desirables, which I hope will tide you over until the real deal movie comes our way this winter. Enjoy!
Pics from my afternoon tea in my new favourite cafe, Dejeuner sur l'Herbe, 15 minutes from Biarritz in Cambo les Bains.
I'm pretty sure this enchanting bed by Attila Design will take me one step closer to wonderland! Either way it's a good enough excuse to pop over to Helsinki to check it out.
How else is Alice going to discover the rabbit hole if mr.rabbit doesn't show her the way?
Fantastical is the only word I can think of to describe Alidra Alic's jewellery. Her site is worth the click if even just to gaze in wonder at the magical photography and styling.
Elena Kalis's photography is like a dream. I had to tear myself away from her site to continue this post!
Tea has been served! Chelsea Greene paints a magical world of woodland friends, check her out!
Can't have tea without biscuits! Visit Kerry Lemon's Etsy shop and pick up a contemporary print for your good self!
One simply can't have a garden party without the Queen of Tarts. She's one of many wonderful illustrations by The Poppy Tree.
Now we know what to wear when Johnny invites us to the premiere ;) Photography by Andreas Stavrinides.
Looks like Mr.Rabbit has lost his watch...finders keepers! See more in The Steam Punk Trunk's Etsy shop.
"Now statistics prove, Prove that you've one birthday. Imagine just one birthday every year
Ah, but there are 364 unbirthdays, Precisely why we're gathered here to cheer!"
Now you can celebrate your own very merry unbirthday with this Mad Hatter Tea Party Necklace! Available in Rustic Rose's Fairytale Etsy shop.
Well, that's it for today! Which was your favourite Alice in Wonderland picture? x

Heart Full of Wine...
It's funny how sometimes your days develop a colour theme. The Boyfriend woke me up with a yummy raspberry smoothie, when I biked down to La Centre Ville for a boulangerie breakfast I passed by all the irresistible flower shops with raspberry and burgundy peonies trying to lure me. They won, 30 minutes later my little basket is bursting with petals and pastries and I am a happy girl. I can't share my raspberry and strawberry tarts with you but maybe you'll enjoy today's tasty selection of treats just as much... bon apetit!

We'll always have Paris...
I live on the South West coast of La France. By the beach, surrounded by great vineyards and (unfortunately for my bikini body) even better boulangeries! It's a stunning place to be, but for me the heart of france is Paris. With it's streets winding through the city, like vines of ivy weaving their way around an old house, I manage to find a hidden gem at every turn. If you are lucky enough to make it to Paris this fall then don't miss La Nuit Blanche. It is a very special day and night when some of the enchanting museums and galleries of Paris open their doors for 24 uninterrupted hours of culture and art viewing. Below are some images and artists inspired by the wonder of Paris...enjoy :)
Don't you wish you could be Maral Sassouni sitting in a quaint cafe not far off the Eifel Tower, sketching away as the city, oblivious to your admiration, bustles around you.
You can't go to Paris and not lingerie shop. Sketched or photographed, I want it all! Christian Dior Bra illustrated by Cocopit.

Can I have the bag and the illustration! Laura Laine is an amazing illustrator, see for yourself...
