HOME FROM SAN FRANCISCO :(

I've unpacked the (many) cases and slept through the jet-lag and now I'm back to my blog sweet blog! San Francisco was absolutely amazing, from the pastel painted Victorian streets, the vintage mile that is Haight Street and the pancake stacks I munched my way through all week... I loved it all! Now it's Dublin for a day or two then back to sunny South France. Please bear with me while I get my blogging hat back on ;)

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE!

My bags are all packed and there's a flower in my hair... San Francisco here I come! No volcanic ash today thank you very much! I return in 10 days but have a few surprise posts scheduled in between :) Leave me your addresses and I'll try to send you a postcard ;) xox

Beautiful Art by Lauren DiCioccio

I miss lazy Sundays reading The Sunday Times, a French alternative would take me a week! Lauren DiCioccio is a visual artist who too loves tactile media. She labouriously strives to create pieces which one day will evoke in their viewers, nostalgic pangs of familiarity for the tangible beauty of magazines and newspapers. If one day technology will take over from physical media, then at least I have a comeback when asked why I hoard every copy of Vogue known to me :) In these pieces below, Lauren has tediously assigned a colour to every letter, and has recreated the article in dots on a transparent sheet placed over the magazine. Bonne Dimanche tout le monde!
