DEEP IN THE THRALLS OF MY GIRL CRUSH!

Betty Betty Betty! What more can I say except I love her! It's been a long time since I've been so intricately attached to an on screen character's wardrobe. Sure, there were certain episodes of Sex and the City where Carrie Bradshaw had me at hello, but it doesn't compare to my Betty Draper of Mad Men infatuation! Laquered nails, crimson lips and wiggle dresses galore, Betty does 1950s housewife like no other. I love this era of vintage clothing, dresses got a little shorter and more form fitting, accessories were piled on like there was no tomorrow and fabrics were luscious and decadent. It seems I'm not the only 1950s/ early 60s vintage fanatic, these dresses are the first items to fly out of Dandelion Daydreamer Vintage as soon as I list them! Season 4 of Mad Men is just about to air and I can't wait to see what Betty wears next :)

  1. wow, I just love your new vintage shop - its simply amazing and breath-taking!! I too love everything vintage and 50's! I must say I'm in awe of your life over there in France!.....do you think there is a chance of finding vintage dresses in 'today's sizes' - (size 12!) - I know back in the day, women had much smaller waists!! I so badly want one of your finds! :)

  2. Hi there, Just found you on the same 'coral' treasury as my vintage shop (lamanche) and noticed you are in South of France too so thought I'd drop in.
As we are an hour ahead here and I have to get up so early to get my girls off to school, I've never been able to stay up to watch Mad Men so I've bought the first two series on DVD. I can't wait to watch it but I know my 16 year old will love it too so when she gets home from her work experience placement (back in the U.K.), I'm going to watch it with her. Dying to see all that 50s fashion. Love your shop, by the way!
