Underwater Love

We would be so happy you and me, No one there to tell us what to do, I'd like to be under the sea, In an octopus' garden with you. Underwater love is where it's at for this post! I wandered out on the beach for a walk with my "foster dog" this evening just as the sun was setting and I thought, for the 1000th time, how lucky I am to live here. Et voila.. Here are my design picks of the day, inspired by the deep blue sea. My favourite is the kissing sea horse cushion but I'll let you make up your own mind!

Dainty handcrafted shell and pearl rose ring by Star of The East. I'll take the tea cup too, thanks very much!

Michelle Ramin's striking painted studies of her sister will leave you curious for more. I love the textile patterns, reminiscent of 1950s bathing suits.

Inspired by underwater beauties, Yellena James creates unique patterns and compositions using pen, ink and markers. She often sells originals in her Etsy shop, that would be a real treat for my beach house home :)

You can't go to the beach and not have a 99! Based in Sussex, Gillian Bates designs gorgeous digital prints and embroidered art pieces.

Poor Jelly Ellen, should we tell her she has a jellyfish on her head? A Sorcha Gillett illustration available in my Etsy shop.

Erin Tyner's figurine photography is too cute. Prints are available to buy in her shop.

I want! I want! I want! Carla johnson is an Irish textile designer who has just launched her new website featuring her digitally printed novelty cushions. They are printed on soft sandwashed silks and are backed with a scale like leatherette fabric. I want the loved-up seahorses for my bed and the inky yellow fish for my sitting room. They are available to buy in her Etsy shop.

The Wave necklace by Odette New York... every surf chick should have one.

Loving this 1950s longboard surfer by Tyler Warren. He is a Californian artist who surfs, paints, freelances and who was also chosen to be Rip Curl's Artist of the Search.

So jealous you are near to the sea, are you on the Med or Atlantic side? I am nearer to the Med, but it's still a good hour and a half away.......
